There is a documentary about the NATIONAL DEBATE CHAMPIONSHIP on my television. Not only is it geeking me out that DEBATE is on TV (a MASS media) but the story is on CSTV.

The Light Fairy is good. That doesn't mean she's a goody-goody, it just means when she has to make a decision, she'll make the right choice. She's very nice, but she's also got a sense of humor. She's sweet, but very strong-willed. She depends on her friends (and they depend on her) but if they do something she thinks isn't right, she's not going to do it with them just to be part of the group. The Light Fairy is normally good-natured and preaceful, but she gets angry (really angry) when someone hurts or treats someone else unfairly. And she certainly isn't going to just stand around doing nothing about it! Other than the times she's depressed or mad about unfairness, the Light Fairy likes to have fun and enjoy life.

Today begins the first day of my finals for Semester 1, Year 2 of law school. In less than 30 minutes I tackle what may be the most difficult of the tests - Civil Procedure. When I asked a fellow classmate this morning how he felt he said it is "better to rip the bandaid off than peel it painfully." I think that is a good thing. I know this, I am READY!!! I spent significant parts of my free time for the last 5 days studying civil procedure. I blew off a perfect opportunity to have fun with friends last night. Today..... BRING IT ON!!!!!

Today is World AIDS Day. Please take some effort to further educate yourself, get tested, encourage a friend to do so, or even just sit in silence for the millions infected worldwide. Only through recognition, and understanding can we ever truly face this epidemic.
